Roof Moss Removal in Tsawwassen, Delta

When we got up on this roof in Tsawwassen, the moss was easy to spot. It ran in a bright green line down the hips, which are the raised edges where two slopes of a roof meet, and along the ridge at the very top. In the two valleys, where the slopes meet low and the rain runs off, it had worked its way into the gaps between the shingles on both sides of the metal. Dark stains had built up around it too.

We used a soft brush on a long pole to take the moss off the hips and out of the valleys. A brush can't get every bit, so next we soft washed the whole roof, which cleared what was left along with the dark staining. Last came a moss treatment on the shingles to slow down any new growth.

Before we left, we cleaned out the gutters and bagged up everything that came off the roof to haul away. This roof is now covered by our 2 year moss free guarantee, so if the moss comes back within two years, we'll come back and clear it.
